Ian is a Church of England minister with a background in the IT industry, specialising in systems analysis. Prior to pursuing a vocation in the church, he held the position of production manager in a company specialising in information management for the education sector.

Ian holds a PhD from the University of Sheffield and a MLitt from the University of Cambridge and is a published author. In addition to chairing a number of charitable trusts, he is a school governor. He currently leads an area team providing faith-based and community services to over 30,000 people.

Ian’s skills include strategy, management, public speaking, writing and research. He has extensive experience of working with organisations across the spectrum of community and social enterprise activity at regional and local level.
