Helen Harrop
After IT posts with Prudential, Helen joined the HE Academy in 2005, where she produced reports on barriers to participation, student retention and employability and coordinated delivery of the web portal pilot project. A post with Simple Usability followed before Helen joined Sero in 2009 as a Senior Researcher working on projects for Becta, JISC and the Open University.
Her Web 2.0 expertise and social media presence (@iamcreative) have been widely used in marketing and dissemination projects, most recently in the national JISC Discovery and Activity Data programmes. She is a creative writer and her bi-weekly blogs for the Discovery programme (http://blogs.discovery.ac.uk) have attracted large audiences. Helen is also an artist and designer with many links into the cultural and creative industries sector.
