The My-IT website was developed as part of the Yorkshire-Forward sponsored ICT Vendor Skills Programme, designed to make IT industry training more affordable and more available for individuals and businesses.  

During the course of the programme, it became clear that there was a real need for a practical, down-to-earth source of online help for individual and businesses to get to grips with using the internet and basic IT facilities.

My-IT was conceived for entry-level IT users, who find some of the standard online help instructions difficult to follow.  The purpose of the service is to provide basic ‘know-how’ in a simple, friendly format including video and animation.

Sero members designed and scoped the overall service and made it happen, project managing the contributions of:

• QR8 Web Designers
• NTI West Yorkshire
• Selby College
• Sheffield Hallam University

Fast, pragmatic and cost-effective, delivering the pilot project in a six month period through effective partnership working and clarity of focus.

My-IT is set to become a key feature of the business support offer in Yorkshire and the Humber.
