contribution: |
In April 2008, Becta launched a major programme of research to support the delivery and ongoing development of Harnessing Technology: Next Generation Learning 2008 2014 (the Harnessing Technology strategy). Sero in partnership with University of Nottingham was awarded the contract to deliver one component of this, project CAPITAL, which is looking at the future of teaching and learning technology on a three to five year timeline, including trends, disruptions and new modes of learning. It covers all UK education sectors and a broad range of topics such as curriculum and assessment, the redesign of teaching approaches, formal and informal learning, personalisation and differentiation. Year2 includes international perspectives and consideration of other sectors.
Sero in partnership with University of Nottingham will explore a set of key research questions that will continue to provide intelligence and analysis impacting on the implementation and further development of the Harnessing Technology strategy, while also leading to evidence based recommendations that Becta can and do use to underpin our work with strategic partners.
