Guarantee Scheme run by Thomas Rotherham
College |
|
Background: |
The Jigsaw scheme
gives low waged and unemployed 16-30
year olds an opportunity to gain paid
employment with training and prospects.
The employability skills course run
by Sero, branded ‘4Jigsaw’,
is an induction to the Jigsaw programme
aimed at those who need additional
support to complete the application
and interview process. |
Purpose: |
The course covers
communications, teamwork and presentation
skills to build confidence and improve
job skills. |
Our
contribution: |
Development and
delivery of the course together with
delegate administration and marketing
support. |
Our
approach: |
Taking top quality
commercial training offered to executives
internationally and adapting it to
the needs of those who have had difficulty
gaining job opportunities. The Sero
course combines this behavioural training
approach with a good understanding
of employer requirements and extensive
experience of teaching young people. |
Results: |
A marked improvement
in how candidates complete their application
forms at the end of the course compared
to the beginning. |
